SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION WHISKY STAVE CHRISTMAS TREE

This stunning handcrafted Christmas tree is made from repurposed whisky barrels. They have been transformed with painstaking care and craftsmanship to become a unique heirloom tree. 

A whisky stave tree will be the talking point of your Christmas decor for years to come and it tells a great story. Oak trees grown in Spain were used to make casks  which held maturing whisky for many years.

When the casks were no longer of use we were able to use some and take them apart and start the lengthy job of restoring the wood. Here at Stag Design, we care greatly about sustainability which is another reason why we have produced a product that uses repurposed whisky casks. Photos here show some of the work that will go into making your own tree.

Every stave tree is made from different whisky barrels so the colour will vary a little. The oak wood has deep rich tones which would compliment any decor from minimal Scandi to traditional British. The wood is oiled and varnished to ensure that its good looks are long-lasting.

The base and star are also made from oak (not from whisky casks) that will also be oiled.
